Chief recently completed a young adult book with a local setting. SERAFINA AND THE BLACK CLOAK is set at Biltmore Estate.
SERAFINA is, in the words of Chief, "good" and "mysterious." He said it is in at least his Top 30, which is saying something because he has read quite a few books. Chief is currently reading TWILIGHT COMPANY, a book about Star Wars.
Boss has recently been reading books with a baseball theme. One was about Jackie Robinson and another was about Jackie Mitchell, a 17-year-old female pitcher who struck out Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in succession at an exhibition game.
We've also been reading THE HOBBIT at night together and listening to the ORIGAMI YODA book series on CD in the car. Now that they're out of school, our youngest members will have even more time to catch up on their reading.
Sounds like Chief and Boss are in a reading frenzy! All of the books sound interesting. Good job guys.
